Featured Projects
Friendsgiving, written and directed by Kaitlyn Healy, features an ensemble cast of up and coming, LA-based actors. The project is backed by a producing team made up entirely of women and non-binary individuals.
The story follows Charles, a young man in his twenties, as he hosts a Friendsgiving celebration with his new coworker and four best friends. Tension circulates due to the complicated dynamics that exist within the eclectic group of individuals. Charles spends the evening trying to prevent his group of friends from falling apart.
Supporting independent films like Friendsgiving is crucial in fostering a diverse and innovative film industry. These projects offer unique perspectives, challenge stereotypes, and provide a platform for emerging talent to thrive. By backing independent content, audiences contribute to a more inclusive media landscape, encouraging risk-taking in storytelling, and fostering a sense of community that values authentic representation. Embracing indie films not only broadens cultural narratives but also ensures a rich and varied tapestry of stories that might otherwise be overlooked in mainstream productions.
